Show Us Your Moves: Benjamin cosplays as Danny Phantom from Danny Phantom!

"I'm going ghost!" Well, we aren't but Benjamin sure did! He entered his Danny Phantom cosplay from Nickelodeon's hit show Danny Phantom into our Show Us Your Moves contest! For this cosplay he used our Hermes Wig in Classic White! Check out his entry below!

[caption id="attachment_3907" align="aligncenter" width="225" caption="Our Hermes Wig in Classic White!"][/caption]

The wig I am wearing is the Hermes - 12" Boycut Men's Classic White Short Cosplay Wig

I've been cosplaying for a few years after going to my first con, it's really fun to not only be a different person for a little bit but to be a person you really enjoy seeing in your favourite show and being a person other people really enjoy as well!

The character I selected is Danny Phantom from the show Danny Phantom on Nickelodeon! He's one of my favourite characters from my favourite show and cosplaying him is one of the funnest things for me!

The most difficult part about this costume was wearing it in a con for an extended amount of time, it's made out of pvc and so it would get really hot and it limited my movement a bit.

I am planning on doing more cosplays such as Rapunzel from Tangled and Tom Riddle from Harry Potter and am looking to get one of Epic Cosplay's extra long wigs.

The wig I wore for this costume, however, was a really great wig! It looked really natural and was often confused for my real hair. It was a good length and a good style, I highly recommend it to people looking for something like it.

Show Us Your Moves: Gina as Bulma from Dragonball!

Gina sent us an entry featuring her Bulma cosplay from the Dragonball series! For this cosplay she used our Hestia Wig in Vocaloid Blue! Check out her entry below!

[caption id="attachment_3903" align="aligncenter" width="200" caption="Our Hestia Style in Vocaloid Blue!"][/caption]

Hey guys! Here's my entry for your Show Us Your Moves! contest!

This is my cosplay from Wondercon 2013, as Bulma from Dragonball, in the first outfit she appears in, when she first meets Goku.

The wig I chose for this cosplay is your Hestia wig in Vocaloid Blue. I chose this wig because it was the right shade of blue/green that I needed for the character. Bulma's hair in DBZ appears more blue, but in the early episodes of Dragonball, it does seem to have more green tones in it.

This wig was a great purchase/decision for me, because it looks a lot more natural than I would have expected. Besides the colors, the way it sits on my head and the body to it is just perfect. I used to see the Epic Cosplay booths at conventions and assume that you guys were probably expensive due to the quality, so when I finally checked out your site and saw the prices, I was blown away by how affordable the wigs are.

My first convention was in 2009, but I didn't start going to conventions regularly until 2012. I never cosplayed until I started to realize that I was missing out on something when I would go to conventions and see all of the other cosplayers. I used to geek out over the characters I saw that I loved, and I guess I decided that I wanted to be a part of that!

I've been cosplaying since San Diego Comic-Con in 2012, and my first cosplay was Black Canary.

I chose to cosplay as Bulma because I started to get back into Dragonball Z again. It was one of my favorite shows as a kid. I came across another cosplay of this character and go so inspired, and eventually decided to make this costume almost completely from scratch.

The dress is 100% from scratch. Instead of just buying a big pink tee shirt, I wanted to do this all from scratch so I could get the right shape and not look too boxy. This might have been the hardest part, since I've only taken two apparel design classes in high school (which didn't cover much for making clothes), and I'm not a costumer at all. This might be why I love cosplay so much, because it challenges me to be more creative and learn new skills.

The shoes are also a pair of converses modified and covered in different fabric by me. The scarf and leg warmers are a bigger scarf taken apart and modified by me as well. And the bag is made completely by me.

I love the community that cosplay is a part of. I've met so many amazing people through conventions and cosplay, I feel extremely lucky to be part of the community. Cosplay also gives me the confidence that I don't have in my everyday life, and that means a lot to me.

As for future cosplays, I have a bucket list of many that I want to accomplish. The main two I'm brainstorming right now are Captain Marvel Carol Danvers from Marvel Comics and Vegeta from DBZ.

Thank you guys for the opportunity to enter Show Us Your Moves! contest! It feels pretty cool to share my story with you guys, considering that you contributed to one of my proudest cosplays. Thank you again, and I'm looking forward to purchasing more wigs from you guys in the future!

Dear Epic cosplay

I recently made of of my dream cosplays, and In doing so I used my first EpicCosplay Wig. I am definatly going to be a repeat customer, I posted a photo and I was directed to this contest so I thought I would send in an entry.

- What got you into cosplay?

I got into cosplay right out of high school, I had always been creative but never had the chance to do cosplay untill I started College and I had always wanted to try it. It was the ability to become your favorite characters and the wonderfull feeling when you build it yourself

– How long have you been cosplaying?

It will be three years this coming Anime fest, I started somewhere like everyone else and in the begining I made alot of things I would like to burn now that Im looking back, but I think every one has those feelings sometimes

– Were there any particular reasons you selected this character?

This character means a lot to me for several reasons, Me and my fiance started playing World of Warcraft together about one year into our relationship, he had been playing for years and asked me to join him as a way of shareing time together because most of his other games were single player and I felt left out. the game got us threw some hard times but most of all it helped us learn to trust each other, because with out me healing my fiances tank both our characters would die and we would have to start all over, as silly as it is WoW is what lead us to have a stronger relationship and lead us to where we are now, engaged. My first character and still my main to this day is my Dwarf Paladin Tarice, your first character always means something to you because that was the first class you learned and the first one you climbed all the way to the top with.  Since I started playing I had been amazed at the designs in the game as was itching to make one of my oun, but more then anything I wanted to bring my Dwarf out of the game and into reality, to break that barrier between the player and their character, because every character in WoW is as unique as the person playing it.

– What would you consider the most difficult part of this costume?

The whole thing is armor, I have never made armor before, it took me a while to figure out what material I wanted to work with for my first time. I chose EVA foam because its light and thick enuff to get that bulky WoW look to it. I just started with construction paper to make shapes till I felt it was right and then transferred it to the foam, cut and hot glued. I am so happy with what I made and I cant wait to dip my hands into another WoW cosplay, I even picked out the wig from your store for the next one!!

– What cosplay would you like to do in the future?

Im already planing on another WoW dwarf cosplay A hunter dwarf from the WoW TCG, but more importantly me and my fiance are planning to make the Songbird and Elizabeth from the new Bioshock. I have the next dwarf wig picked out, I have not chosen exactly what color brown I want for Elizabeth.  In the end my big top dream cosplay is a T5 paladin dwarf, but I don know how to resin cast crystals....YET.

– What’s your favorite part about cosplaying?

Becoming that one character for a day, or a weekend, that one character you love and relate to and to bring them off the screen, the tv, the book and place them into reality, and all the work you put in to make it yourself is just the icing on the cake!

-What do you like about our wig?

OMG ITS SO THICK AND SOFT!! is what I said when I unpacked it. I had originaly bought some blond wig off ebay, it came in and it was so thin and shiney I could only get one braid out of it, Then I won a gift card from southern cospitality for you guys for 35$ and you were having this sale, it was a blessing and only a week before the convention!! I found a beautiful 40" inch blond mix wig with short bangs and snatched it up.  I was so happy when it came in just 2 days before the convention

Show Us Your Moves: Kamikaze Miko rocking out some lolita fashion!

Kamikaze Miko submitted a Show Us Your Moves entry featuring her lolita outfit! She used our Aether Wig in Cocoa Brown to complete this adorable look! Check out pictures and her entry below!

[caption id="attachment_3885" align="aligncenter" width="200" caption="Our Aether Wig in Cocoa Brown!"][/caption]

Hiya,

My name is Tiffany aka Kamikaze Miko. This dress is the first thing I cosplayed ever. It was brought from Cosaru and the first day I wore it was almost a year ago at Anime North. It is a one of a kind dress and won't be made again. I purchased it due to the coloring and what it represented. I love cherry blossom season and every year in DC I got to the festival. This dress reminds me of those memories growing up and going every year. After I wore this I started getting into cosplay of my own. I decided to wear it once more close to the first time I did kinda like an anniversary  of my first step into cosplaying. I didn't make this cosplay but it didn't stop me from doing more in the future. I will always remember this dress for it's look and memories the access to cosplay for me. The wig I used was Aether Cocoa brown.

Show Us Your Moves: Jody Cosplays as Naoto from Persona 4!

Jody submitted an entry featuring her Naoto cosplay from Persona 4! She used our  Apollo Wig in Blue Black Fusion to complete her look! Check out her entry below!

[caption id="attachment_3876" align="aligncenter" width="200" caption="Our Apollo Wig in Blue Black Fusion"][/caption]

- What got you into cosplay?

I began cosplaying a few years ago, because I thought it looked like a lot of fun. I dragged a friend of mine to the Cherry Blossom festival in DC- it was a lot of fun, but looking back, my costume wasn’t very good at all. At least I know I’ve improved!

– How long have you been cosplaying?

I’ve been cosplaying since I was 13, three years ago. My first cosplay was Miki, one of Amu’s Guardian Characters, from Shugo Chara!

– Were there any particular reasons you selected this character?

My friend actually told me to cosplay Naoto because he thought I was a lot like her- he was right! I’ve always been angry when people underestimate my intelligence or strength just because I’m a girl, so I find a lot of opportunity in cosplaying as boys. When I realized that Naoto crossdressed so she could win the respect that she truly deserved, it really struck a chord with me. We also have a lot in common physically- masculine body shapes, for instance. We’re both also vertically challenged, and love the color blue, which made this cosplay fairly simple for me!

– What would you consider the most difficult part of this costume?

Definitely the jacket- especially the piping along the edges. I ended up having to sew and re-sew it several times before I got it the way that I liked! I’m a perfectionist that way. The buttons were also a pain to find.

– What cosplay would you like to do in the future?

Currently, I’m planning on cosplaying as Tomix the Soulweaver from DragonFable. I’ve already got the white wig (epiccosplay, of course. I actually bought it before the blue one!), but the leather longcoat should be a bit of a challenge, but I don’t think it’s anything I can’t handle.

– What’s your favorite part about cosplaying?

Definitely the joy of being recognized. I’ve walked around conventions and not been recognized by anyone at all- it really makes you feel like the cosplay wasn’t worth the time. When I cosplayed as Naoto, though, every few minutes another person was pulling me over to get a picture. That’s why it was one of my favorite cosplays to put together!

-What do you like about our wig?

Aside from the fact that it’s blue, and blue is awesome, I really like the way that people sometimes mistake it for my real hair (my hair, normally, is a very similar style- it’s just black). It’s also brushable, and essentially came in the right style already, save for a tiny bit I had to trim off in the front for Naoto’s slight forelock. It’s also washable, and doesn’t itch.

Overall, I’m really happy with the way that the cosplay came out, and it’s certainly one of the best that I’ve done so far. Naoto Shirogane is a wonderful as both a character and a role, and I’m glad that I had the chance to portray her through cosplay.

Show Us Your Moves: Anna/Seattle Cosplay as Wizard from Diablo 3!

Anna/Seattle Cosplay submitted an entry featuring her Wizard cosplay from Diablo 3! She opted to use our Nyx Wig in Black for her cosplay! Check out more pictures and her entry below!

[caption id="attachment_3869" align="aligncenter" width="225" caption="Our Nyx Wig in Black!"][/caption]

Hi,

I was invited on facebook to enter this! I have used your awesome your Nyx - 28" black wig for my wizard cosplay.
Why’d you pick the costume you did?

I love this cosplay because it is the first one I really spend a lot of time doing research on. This is based on the Concept Art for the Diablo 3 Wizards. I was very unsure when I wanted to create a special cosplay for Pax Prime last year. I love video games, especially those with strong female characters, and had a few options to pick from. But when I saw the wizard concept art, I think I had an epiphany. Being fan of Diablo series, of course I would be the kick ass caster!! Why would I be anything else?! I also found the background story of the Wizard Li Ming intriguing -- her character, her arrogance, her power, and her beginning are just amazingly developed! It is with this state of mind that I pour my heart into creating every aspect of the costume.

The concept art does not have have a back view, and there is only one picture for my purpose. So I spend alot of time doing research on Chinese Tang Dynasty costumes.

My friend help me by making the awesome props - dragon stave and medallions.

This is the second wig I had used for this cosplay. The first was not very good as it has waxy fibers that were also coarse. So I when I had more time this second time around, I purchased this wig from your company. And It's lux hair and smooth texture gave my cosplay a total revamped look. The bands were amazing!!! as it framed my face perfectly.  Thank you for your consideration! and I look forward in purchasing more wigs for future projects!!

Show Us Your Moves Submission: Ashley cosplays as Paddra Nsu Yeul

Ashley of Orah's Cosplay sent us another submission with another EPIC cosplay! This time she sent us pictures and her submission of her Paddra Nsu Yeul cosplay! She utilized our Persephone Wig in Gunmetal Grey to achieve her look! Check out her pictures and story below!

Paddra Nsu Yeul cosplay final fantasy

I have gained permission to use these photos as long as they are not altered or its watermark removed.

Wig Used: 36" Gunmetal Grey Straight Long Cosplay Wig

Character: Paddra Nsu Yeul

Series: Final Fantasy XIII-2

Photographer: PhotoPersuasion

How wig was styled!

Sides where cut to frame the face. Then bangs parted in the middle, tucked behind ears and then secured with bobbin pins.

Hiya again! It is Orah's Cosplay! This time I am cosplaying Yeul from XIII-2!

I used EpicCosplay's 36" Gunmetal Grey Straight Long Cosplay Wig, because it was the prefect grey for the game references and it changed color in different lighting. I picked Yeul because I love native American/African inspired tribal wear and so Yeul was planned back in December of 2011. The hardest part of this cosplay was the endless fittings my friend had to do. (It is nearly impossible to fit yourself without help.) The top was made to fit to my curves exactly>< and painfully! D: THE PIN SCARS!! This cosplay was done over a span of four months! I have made everything by hand from the top to the shoes!

Why do I keep going back to EpicCosplay for my wigs? They are just beautiful! The quality is outstanding! My wigs hardly shed and I don't have to worry about them acting up or being evil. They are worth every penny, and I will continue to be a faithful returning customer!
